Here is a great article from Sports Illustrated describing the unifying power that soccer (football) is having throughout the world.  We have found this to be true and have recently designed HEART hand stitched leather soccer balls to be used at our various youth functions.  As you will see, Mathare slum (Nairobi) is mentioned in the article!  This is where we do many of our youth rallies and tournaments.  Per dollar expended, there is not a more effective way of engaging the idle youth, preventing drug/alcohol abuse, decreasing gang activity, and building relationships.  I am grateful for the universal language of sport.
